About Me
Hi! I’m DJ, a learning strategist, leadership developer, and behavioral design enthusiast who believes that intelligent learning experiences can change how we lead, live, and grow.
I'm passionate about helping people thrive at work, whether that’s a first-time manager navigating imposter syndrome, a senior leader learning to lead remote teams, or a team struggling to turn training into actual performance. Learning isn’t a box to check. It’s a strategy. A culture. A force multiplier.
As a learning leader for the modern workplace, I write about:
- Leadership development in fast-moving, tech-driven companies - The intersection of behavioral economics and workplace learning - Inclusive learning design and equity in professional growth - What it really takes to build high-performance teams through training
My Background
Over the years, I’ve led global L&D programs, coached new and emerging leaders, and designed technical and power skill training for everyone from customers and engineers to business owners and executives. I also teach instructional design at Portland State University and consult with organizations that want to make learning more human, scalable, and impactful through my agency Lightbulb Learning.
I’m especially passionate about empowering women in leadership and tech, creating equitable access to development opportunities, and bridging the gap between strategy and learning. Learn more about my work history here.
Beyond the Resume
Outside of work, I love a good non-fiction podcast or book, a new pad of Super Sticky Post-It notes, and learning about the psychology behind just about everything.
